Meet the people who make design within reach (2016).

Over four days, Milk Studios in Manhattan became a who’s who of modern design. Coming from as far away as New Zealand, designers from 14 countries were represented, with ages ranging from 29 to 89. Hungarian artist Peter Hapak, who’s known for his powerful portraiture, captured the spirit and spunk – and in some cases, sass – of this amazing group. There are the people who make design within reach.

Jonas Wagell about new work for Zaozuo in China (2015)

In 2015 JWDA was one of three Stockholm-based design studios invited to create the first collection for new Chinese design brand Zaozuo. Since the start the studio has designed five lines of furniture for the emerging company, the first design focused consumer brand in China.

Cloud Pendant best light by Elle Decoration (2014)

Elle Decoration Swedish Design Awards selects Cloud Pendant as best light of the year. Jonas Wagell speaks with Editor-in-Chief Svante Öquist about design and  inspiration (only in Swedish).

Lecture at Belgrade Design Week (2014)

In October 2014 Jonas Wagell was invited to speak about his work on the theme “Senses” in Belgrade during the design week. Every year BDW invites renowned speakers to the conference, this year Wagell was accompanied by 3XN architects, Fuksas architects, Studio Drift, Bleed, Apartamento, Nicholai Wiig Hansen and many others.

Documentary about designer Jonas Wagell (2009)

In the snowy winter of 2009, Swedish National Television came knocking on the studio door and followed the work for two days, including a trip to the factory of Swedish furniture producer Mitab. We observe the manufacture of the Montmartre arm chair, chat and drink coffee, like all Swedes. Two days of filming eventually became this 15 minutes of design documentary.
